Job Summary:
Main Responsibilities:
Define and drive an HR strategy aligned with the business’ purpose and vision to support continued success and growth
Drive the recruitment strategy and partner with hiring managers and the recruitment team to ensure quality placements.
Comfortable training staff on interview techniques and processes
Manage the induction and on-boarding process
Employee Engagement – enable and drive reward and recognition in line with company culture and values and identify strategies to improve engagement levels.
Staff Management – provide leadership and direction to the HR/Recruitment team.
Retention Management – partner with Operations to reduce attrition and identify and address barriers to retention; conduct exit interviews and report on trends.
HR Policies and Procedures – ensure HR policies and procedures are kept updated and communicated to staff.
Skills Development – submit the annual skills development plan in consultation with management, and coordinate the annual leadership development programme.
Employment Equity – take overall responsibility for EE and related activities in line with legislation.
B-BBEE – provide input into and assist with the annual B-BBEE audit.
IR, ER and Discipline Management – consult and advise management and staff on labour relations issues, and partner with Operations to effectively manage and resolve misconduct, poor performance, incapacity and incompatibility cases.
HR Reporting and Administration – compile and present monthly management reports on key HR outputs.
Performance Management – coordinate the company performance management and feedback process and ensure that all employees are trained in the application of the performance platform.
Salary Increases and Promotions – manage the bi-annual salary increase and promotion process.
Manage HR Platforms – maintain and provide input into various HR systems

Desired Experience & Qualification:
Qualifications and Experience required:

Degree/ Diploma (3 years+), with a specialisation in Human Resources
In-depth knowledge of employment/labour laws, regulations and HR best practice
10+ years’ experience in an HR Generalist/HR Manager role (preference will be given to candidates with experience in the IT/Professional Services Industry)
Registration with the SABPP advantageous
Advanced computer literacy skills (MS Office)
SAGE 300 People advantageous

You will be a generalist who will work across all aspects of HR including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training & development, employee engagement, retention & recognition, and compliance.
A highly engaging individual who can quickly establish credibility and respect and build strong relationships, driving the HR strategy forward.
Someone who displays openness, vulnerability, humility and courage, and who is not afraid of taking accountability.
Autonomy, flexibility, trust, a consensus driven approach and a deep desire to listen, understand difference and ask rather than tell.
Able to comfortably operate at all levels, including being able to contribute at Exco level
It’s important you bring experience and understanding of a professional services business and understand what’s required
Must be happy to roll up your sleeves and do what needs to be done.
Able to build strong relationships with the staff and leadership team to understand where HR can best support and add value
Proven ability to give professional and expert advice on HR & IR best practices
Agile in style and approach but ensures detail and compliance in delivery of the role
Works with accuracy and attention to detail
Communicates effectively at all levels both within and outside the company
Impartial, supports line managers in making tough decisions
Proven experience in managing and leading others
