Position Purpose:

The Training Programme aims to cultivate a talent pool for key roles within Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) through a structured 12-month training initiative. It endeavors to place learners in specific areas within TPT based on their academic background, career aspirations, and business needs.

Position Outputs:

  • Follow a structured training programme.
  • Undergo performance reviews and assessments.
  • Execute all duties as outlined in the development programme and undertake any reasonable tasks requested by TPT.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • N6/TVET Certificate/NCV 4 Certificate in one of the following fields, with a letter from the institution indicating in-service training request:
    • Training & Development
    • Employee Relations
    • Public Relations
    • Information Technology
    • Security
    • Sales & Marketing
    • Planning
    • Fleet Control/Transport Management


  • Time management.
  • Interpersonal skills and relationship building.
  • Conflict management and resolution.
  • Effective writing skills.

  • Service-oriented.
  • Can-do attitude.
  • Integrity.
