RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze and make recommendations on the impact of short, medium, and long-term growth initiatives, by planning and the implementation of new strategies and related action plans.
- Remain abreast of regulatory changes which may impact on the nature of the company’s business
- Establish, align, and manage target and budget goals whilst ensuring effective control and reporting of costs to increase cost efficiency
- Prepare tax returns to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable tax legislation and regulation.
- Provide advice and solutions to business tax matters
- Takes responsibility for all SARS related submissions, issues and communications
- Apply relevant principles to accurately record, adjust and reconcile financial transactions and events
- Execute relevant internal controls to ensure the integrity of operations, financial and accounting practices
- Management of Corporate and Statutory reporting
- Financial reporting and External Audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and IFRS reporting requirements through maintenance of general ledger records.
- Review of bank mandates and authorities
- Manage Forex transactions
- Maintain and understand Banking relationships
- Responsible for Treasury and investment functions and policies
- Must be able to communicate in writing and verbally at C level competently
Desired Experience & Qualification:
Requirements:
- CA (SA)/ B.Com / CIS or CIMA. A Relevant Business Degree is non-negotiable
- 5 to 8 years experience in a similar position preferably in a private company
- Must be competent in Excel, Word and Outlook
- Must read and write English fluently
- Staff Management Experience
- Understands business plans and strategies
- Knowledge of preparing VAT and taxation returns and statutory returns
