The Gwanda State University GSU Admission Requirements 2024/2025…… The Undergraduate, Masters & Doctorate Programmes Entry Requirements has been released for the 2024/2025 academic session.
For admission into Undergraduates, Postgraduates, Diploma and Masters programs at the Gwanda State University GSU for any first degree or second degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for successful admission.
These admission requirements are for various programmes offered at the institution, it serves as a guide in the application process. All interested applicants are to read through carefully making sure that they fulfill the requirements before putting in an application.
Gwanda State University GSU Admission Requirements 2024/2025
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
For admission to programmes of study at Gwanda State University for any first degree, a candidate must have obtained qualifications in the Zimbabwe School Examinations Councils (ZIMSEC) examinations or in the Cambridge School Certificate examinations or equivalent, which are specified in section 4.
Other than the required passes in relevant subjects at GCE “A” Level all applicants must have ‘O’ Level English Language and Mathematics at grade C or better
FACULTY OF LIFE SCIENCES
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Animal
5 ‘O’ Level passes at grade C or better including English Language and Mathematics. A’ Level passes in Biology or Agriculture and in anyone of the following;
Normal entry requirements for the:
Science (LAS) Mathematics, Physics, Geography, Chemistry
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Animal Science (LAS)
(i) A National Diploma in Animal Science or equivalent OR
(ii) A Higher National Diploma (HND) in Animal Science or equivalent.
(a) Normal entry requirements for the:
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Crop Science (LCS)
5 O’ Level passes at grade C or better including English Language and Mathematics. A’ Level passes in Biology or Agriculture and in anyone of the following;
(b) Special entry requirements for the:
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Crop Science (LCS)
(i)A National Diploma in Crop Science or equivalent. OR (ii)A Higher National Diploma (HND)in Crop
Science or equivalent.
FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND THE ENVIRONMENT
a) Bachelor of Engineering Honours Degree in Metallurgical Engineering (EMR)
5 ‘O’ Level passes at grade C or better including English Language and Mathematics.
A’ Level passes in Chemistry and in any one of the following; Mathematics, Physics, Geography
b) Special entry requirements for the : Bachelor of Engineering Honours Degree in Metallurgical Engineering (EMR)
Bachelor of Engineering Honours Degree in Mining Engineering (EMI)
5 ‘O’ Level passes at grade C or better including English Language and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Engineering Honours Degree in Mining Engineering (EMI)
A ‘Level passes in Physics and in anyone of the following; Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, Technical Graphics, Design and Technology
Bachelor of Engineering Degree In Geomatics and Surveying (ESG)
5′ O’ Level passes at grade C or better including English Language, Mathematics and Geography. A ‘Level passes in Mathematics and Physics
A Diploma in Geomatics and Surveying or equivalent and least two (2) working experiences
Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Marketing (CBU-MKT)
b)Special entry requirements for the : Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Marketing (CBU-MKT) 5 O Level passes including Math and English Language Any two A’ level passes in Management of Business, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, and Geography.

Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Development Studies (ADV): Special entry requirements for the:
