A large, well-established company has an opportunity at one of their branches.
Requirements:
- Working experience as Storeman
- Experience within engineering or mining-industry
- ERP software experience
- Matric Certificate
Responsibilities:
- Maintain control procedures regarding inventory items entering and leaving the store area.
- On-time signing of waybills for goods received.
- Inspection of inventory items to ensure that goods are undamaged and the correct goods
- Assisting in the investigation of discrepancies relating to goods transfers.
- Receiving goods on the ERP system within 24 hours of physical receipt.
- Goods received for credit, to be processed within 24 hours of being received.
- Ensuring that the ERP system is maintained frequently
- Ensuing that inventory items are always handled with due care to avoid possible damages.
- Reporting of stock discrepancies to the branch manager and assisting with the investigation
- Identifying soon to expire inventory items, and the reporting thereof
- Ensuring that stock is dispatched using a “first in first out” basis.
- Maintaining a tracking system of goods situated in the dispatch cage
- Ensure personal protective equipment is worn at all the times and safety equipment is used
