RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily routine network cabinet check to ensure running at optimal capacity
- Routine inspection and cleaning of network cabinets
- Reporting all fault finding to CCTV & IT Director as per SOP
- Log major faults for shutdown maintenance
- Performing any other task not specified herein which, from time to time, may be assigned by the manager
- Technical task assistance as per instruction from CCTV & IT Director including, but not limited to the removal, repairing, replacement, or alteration of any parts required for the maintenance thereof
- Cleaning and housekeeping on equipment and work areas are maintained according to SOP
- Ensure personal hygiene standards are maintained
- Take reasonable care of your health and safety as well as the health and safety of others
- Depending on the task at hand, the correct PPE must be worn at all times in accordance with the company policy and procedures
- Ensure optimal performance of systems by installing and configuring hardware and software components
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise
- Repairing or replacing defective or outdated hardware in a timely manner
- Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely and provide technical support when requested
Desired Experience & Qualification:
- National senior certificate or equivalent to NQF 4
- CompTIA A+ and CompTIA N+ certification courses
- MCSA or CCNA certificate will be adbvantageous
- 3 years of experience in an IT environment
- Minimum 2 years exposure to IT infrastructure technical support, focused on IT hardware, software applications, and end-user support
- Valid RSA drivers license with own transport
