Role Responsibilities:
- Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modelling, to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Analyze and interpret financial data, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including financial statements, profitability analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs), to senior management and stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and evaluation of financial models and business cases for new initiatives, projects, and investments.
- Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, competitor performance, and market conditions to provide insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as accounting, operations, and sales, to gather relevant financial information and ensure accuracy of data.
- Monitor and track financial performance against budgets and targets, identifying areas of improvement and recommending corrective actions.
- Participate in financial forecasting and planning activities, supporting the development of annual budgets and long-term financial strategies.
- Stay updated with relevant financial regulations, accounting principles, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
Relevant Qualifications / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role, with relevant work experience.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex financial data, performing data analysis and interpretation effectively.
- Proficient in financial modelling techniques.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, financial ratios, and key financial metrics.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy and reliability in financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and provide valuable insights.
- Familiarity with financial software and systems, such as ERP systems and financial reporting tools, is desirable.
