Job Title : Technical Services – Internship Programme X 4
Position Status : 24 Months Fixed Term Contract
Reporting Line : Manager: Technical Services
Overall Job Purpose: To review and evaluate prospecting data and information, to assess the mineral exploration expenditure of South Africa.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review prospecting reports, and extract relevant prospecting data and information.
- Monitor mineral rights applications every 6 months.
- Conducts geo-scientific investigations or research under guidance and supervision.
- Participates in statutory and occasionally commercial projects and publishes research findings internally and/or externally.
- Gives formal scientific or technical presentations of papers or reports, internally and externally with guidance at conferences or symposia.
- Gives scientific advice to the public and private sectors within established guidelines.
- Ensures that work is conducted within the required ISO standards.

QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12; and
- Honours Degree in Geology, Economic Geology, Exploration Geology or related geoscience field.
- A valid driver’s license (C1) will be an added advantage.
