Purpose of the Role
Ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Performance Areas:
- Review of general ledger and foreign creditors reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
- Run and manage month end and year end processes
- Provide technical advice to the finance team and business to enforce internal controls and policies
- Prepare monthly management accounts (analyze TB to Income statement,
- Balance Sheet, and Cash flow)
- Assist with co-coordinating year end and half year audits. Assisting in completing of audit pack
- Prepare budgets and revised forecasts
- Prepare cash flow forecasts
- Release EFT payments
- Liaise with the banks
- Meeting financial reporting obligations and deadlines
- Prepare IAS/evaluations/hedging transactions
- Manage teams (i.e. accounts payable/receivables)
- Ad hoc requests from FE
Minimum Qualification:
- BCom Degree or National Diploma in Finance, Accounting
- Completed SAICA articles is highly preferable
Minimum Experience:
- 3- 5 years’ experience working as a Senior Financial Accountant
- Solid consolidations experience is an added advantage
