The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) is offering Hospitality Traineeships for 2024 at Sedibeng TVET College.

Traineeship Details:

  • Positions Available: 3 positions for Hospitality Trainees.
  • Reference: POST REFERENCE: SEDCOL_Hospitality_2024
  • Salary: R3500.00 per month.
  • Duration: From 09 January 2024 to 11 December 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage kitchen training.
  • Control kitchen equipment stock.
  • Maintain cleanliness in kitchens, boardrooms, and the auditorium.
  • Prepare ingredients for practical cooking sessions.
  • Assist lecturers during practical cooking sessions.
  • Set up food stations for functions.
  • Assist with ingredient purchases.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Qualifications: Completion of all subjects for Hospitality N6 or NC(V) L4 is necessary.
  • Additional Advantage: Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Skills: Ability to work in a team, follow instructions, good communication, customer service, high hygiene standards, and working well under pressure.
