KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reporting to the Lead Robotics and Automation
- Responsible for effective operation of all machinery and equipment at our factory
- Repairing breakdowns on mechanical and electrical equipment to reduce production stoppage time.
Candidate Requirements:
- Trade Tested Artisan (Instrumentation / Electrician) with proven experience in maintenance and programming of manufacturing equipment. (5 years’ experience)
- Or mechatronics/light current engineer with practical PLC programming and troubleshooting ( 3 years’ experience)
- Have Matric with Mathematics, Physical Sciences or N3 in a Technical field,
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi PLC / Drives experience is essential.
- Have a strong electrical background.
- Experience on PLC’s and drives fault finding.
- Be hands-on and able to work in a pressurized environment.
- Be prepared to work shifts and overtime when requested,
- Have good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and able to use own initiative,
- Be a team player
- Have good communication skills.
- General Knowledge of the OHS Act.
