Are you looking for internship programmes in South Africa? Do you have the basic requirements to apply for internship programmes? If yes, you are welcome to this page.

This page contains information about the latest internship programmes at Legal Resources Centre (LRC) Voluntary Internships 2023/2024 and how to apply.

An internship is a period of work experience offered by an organization for a limited period of time. It is typically undertaken by students and graduates looking to gain relevant skills and experience in a particular field. Employers benefit from these placements because they often recruit employees from their best interns, who have known capabilities, thus saving time and money in the long run.

The Legal Resources Centre (LRC) invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for the Voluntary Internship Programme 2023 / 2024.

The Legal Resources Centre (LRC) is a law clinic that pursues novel and effective legal solutions by using a range of strategies including impact litigation, law reform, participation in partnerships and development processes within and outside South Africa.  We are a non-profit, public interest law centre, providing legal services to poor and marginalised persons and communities, with emphasis on land and education rights. The LRC aims to train candidate attorneys not only for their future roles as lawyers in traditional legal practices but also as prospective human rights lawyers and advocates – capable of participating in any legal environment, by equipping them with wide ranging skills that exceed the traditional candidate attorney training.

While academic results will get us interested in you, this is not all that we are looking for. We seek high calibre graduates who are energetic, self-motivated, hard-working, well-rounded, committed and suited to the practice of law within the diverse environment of a strategic public interest law centre like the LRC.
