Program Details:

  • Position: Banking Learnership Programme x20 (National Certificate in Banking NQF Level 5)
  • Duration: 12-month programme
  • Aim: Offers experimental learning experience in the financial and insurance services sector, focusing on various roles within banking and insurance.
  • Employment Contract: Successful candidates will sign a 12-month fixed-term employment and learnership contract.
  • Stipend: Learners will receive a monthly allowance of R3,500 for the duration of the programme.
  • Qualification: Upon completion, candidates will receive an accredited National Certificate in Banking (NQF level 5) qualification.

Requirements:

  • Age: Above 18 years old.
  • Education: Successful completion of Grade 12/Matric qualification.
  • Subjects: Pass in Mathematics/Maths Literacy and Accounting in Grade 12.
  • Grade Average: Overall average of 55% in the final National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy.
  • Language: Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Employment/Study Status: Not currently employed or studying at any other institution.
  • Learnership Status: Not registered for any other learnership programme previously.
  • Higher Education Qualification: Should not possess any other higher educational qualification.
  • Residency: Must be able to reside in Durban for the initial three (3) months of the theoretical learning phase.
