Service Engineering Graduate – 1 Year Placement Contract

Description

We are looking for a talented SERVICE ENGINEERING GRADUATE (1 YEAR CONTRACT) to join our team specializing in ENGINEERING for our POWER SYSTEMS BUSINESS SEGMENT in JOHANNESBURG, GAUTENG, SOUTH AFRICA.

In this role, the candidate will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Investigates product or system problems, understands causal mechanisms, recommends appropriate action, and documents results with guidance from more experienced team members.
  • Applies and supports product problem solving processes such as the seven-step problem solving approach.
  • Collaborates with technical experts in the area of failure analysis and data trends to implement final product resolutions to reduce customer downtime.
  • Owns problem resolution for components, products, systems, subsystems or services.
  • Provides execution of established work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge; engages with the improvement of systems and processes.
  • Contributes effectively toward team goals, exhibits influence within a work group and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) or other relevant technical disciplines is required
  • Working in conjunction with others, – relates to people, engages and builds relationships
  • Prior work experience in a relevant discipline area with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving, investigation and quality decision making is preferred but not essential.
  • Self-development – Diligently seeking new ways to grow and make every effort to use both formal and informal development channels.
