High School // INTERN EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Cornwall Hill College, a co-educational independent school in Irene, Centurion, invites applications for the post of Educational Psychologist Intern, to commence duties on 1 January 2024. We pride ourselves on providing a top academic educational experience within a holistic environment. We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong communication and collaboration skills to work with pupils and teachers to enhance our support offering within the High School.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO:

  • Manage the Grade 10 Subject Choice process.
  • Manage the Grade 11 Career Choice process.
  • Assist Grade 12 pupils with filling in of tertiary institution applications.
  • Design and facilitate study skills courses.
  • Design and facilitate examination preparation courses.
  • Assist new pupils with academic orientation.
  • Organise career days, school visits and other related events.
  • Establish relationships and liaise with local and overseas universities.
  • Psychometric testing and report writing.
  • Assist with IEB applications for Accommodations and Concessions.

THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND ABILITIES ARE ESSENTIAL:

  • Candidate must have handed in their final Masters Dissertation for review.
  • Teaching experience and/or background will be an advantage.
  • Appropriate Educational Psychology Master’s Degree or candidate must be in their final year of study for a relevant Master’s Degree.
  • Candidate must be eligible to start their internship in January 2024.
