About Cape Town:

Cape Town is a vibrant port city located on the southwest coast of South Africa, nestled on a stunning peninsula beneath the iconic Table Mountain.

Requirements:

To be eligible for the 2023 Apprenticeship Programme at the City of Cape Town, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of an NTC 3 technical qualification in fields such as Electrical Trade Theory, Mathematics, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics, or any other subject in the Heavy current stream with Matric; OR Technical Matric (Grade 12) with subjects including English, Electrical Trade Theory, Mathematics, Physical Science, and any other subject; OR Full NCV 4 Electrical (with 7 subjects).
  • A passion for the Electrical Field.
  • Reside within the City of Cape Town metropole.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license, preferably Code C1 (old Code 10).
  • Not have qualified in any trade by the time of the programme commencement.
  • Not in possession of a National S Diploma qualification or higher.

How to Apply:

Applicants should ensure they have certified copies of their qualifications available upon request. If no notification of appointment is received within three months of the closing date, candidates should consider their applications as unsuccessful.
