University of Maine at Farmington Undergraduate Admission & Requirements
- Ask your high school to mail us your official high school transcript.
- Have your guidance counselor or a teacher include a recommendation(s).
- Fill out the information and sign the front page of the Request for Academic Records form, which is part of the application, and then submit it to your guidance counselor.
Consideration for Admission
As an applicant to the University of Maine at Farmington, it is recommend that you pursue a challenging college preparatory curriculum offered by your high school.
AP and honors courses are encouraged.
In addition to your academic achievement, your application essay, high school recommendation(s), and participation in extra-curricular activities also are considered.
College Preparatory Courses Required for Consideration
- English: 4 years
- Mathematics (Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry or Integrated Math): 3 years
- Sciences: 3 years (at least 2 of which must include laboratory work)
- Social Studies: 3 years
- Foreign Language: UMF has a Foreign Language requirement that can be met by 2 years (of the same language, including ASL) in high school or by 1 year of foreign language study at UMF
