For the position you would be required to have:
- B. Tech in Electrical Engineering or B. Eng/B. Sc in Electronic Engineering with focus on Instrumentation and Control.
- Minimum of 5 years maintenance and project management experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in programming and troubleshooting of Siemens PLC systems.
- Experience with the control and monitoring of OEM systems.
- Ability to develop SQL server reports.
- SCADA implementation and production rollout.
- Ability to manage team leaders and artisans
Responsibilities would include you to:
- Software development on PLC control systems
- Develop production dashboards
- Machine and process automation
- Provide technical support for site control systems
- Implement manufacturing systems
- Manage contractors
- Ensure documentation is maintained and up to date
- Interpret and present process data
- Ensure maintenance strategies are in place and adhered to and breakdowns are repaired timeously
