Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Core Tasks:

Communicate the role of procurement to all stakeholders,
Review sourcing policies and best practices continuously to improve efficiency of the supply chain process,
Reduction of overall costs for procured materials and services,
Issue, control and adjudicate tenders/RFQ’s to suppliers,
Maintain effective contribution to achievement of Companies targets and goals,
Contribute to the SA Group’s BBBEE preferential procurement spend pillar.
Key Responsibility: Management of SA group subsidiaries sourcing operations, contract management and administration for materials and services.

Core Tasks:

Negotiation of pricing, contractual terms and conditions and payment terms with suppliers to reduce risk of exposure to the company,
Formalise and conclude contractual commitments to suppliers,
Ensure that supplier contracts are reviewed and approved by Legal prior to execution,
Ensure proper authorisations of supplier purchase/service orders are obtained prior to execution,
Management of the order processing and logistical operations related to procured materials and equipment,
Maintain database of supplier contracts, type, duration, value and open commitments and the reporting thereof.
Key Responsibility: Collaborate with Functional Heads to identify needs and to ensure timeous delivery of materials and services for project implementation.

Core Tasks:
Communicate with business partners to identify and prioritise sourcing requirements.
Ensure regular communication of sourcing status and highlight any potential delays

Desired Experience & Qualification:
Professional expertise:

Strong procurement background and knowledge of operational and strategic sourcing.

Control the issue and approval of purchase orders in accordance with Group company procurement policies.

Issuing of RFQ’s on suppliers for direct and indirect materials and services.

Ability to negotiate and conclude contracts with suppliers.

Ability to recognise and mitigate contractual risks and negotiate effectively.

Develop and manage partnerships with suppliers.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a pressured environment.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Education: Degree in Business or Procurement or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.

Other Skills and Knowledge:

Skilled communicator and negotiator.

Good business and financial acumen.

Analytical and strategic mind.

Meeting of deadlines.

Have a least 10 years’ in a procurement environment and at least 3 years at management level.

Knowledge of ICT and telecommunications industry.
