Polokwane Municipality invites applicants to apply for 12 months Leeto La Polokwane System Ambassador Trainee Programme 2023.

Polokwane Municipality invites applications for Leeto La Polokwane twelve (12) month performance – based contract trainee programme.

Applicants should be between 18 – 45 years of age, South African residents residing along the Phase A Leeto La Polokwane (Seshego and City Cluster).

NB: Proof of residents are required as part of the application and will be verified.

Requirements: Grade 12, National Diploma (Customer Care, Marketing, Communication, or Transport Management) and 3-months’ minimum relevant experience in the Leeto la Polokwane Bus Operations or any other Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) System will be an added advantage.

(Trained and have an understanding of the system and operations).

Duties: Validating and selling papers tickets on-board the bus.

Account-based Ticketing (ABT) card re-loading (using bank cards) on-board the bus, LLP Customer Care support in the buses and everything else related to the bus services.

Polokwane Municipality Recruitment policy as well as the Personnel Code as approved by the council will guide the process

Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups in line with the provisions of the Employment Equity Act, and the council’s employment equity plan or targets and goals.

For this reason, we require that Race, Gender, and Disability status be specified.

NOTE: Suitable candidates will be subjected to a personnel suitability check (Criminal record, Citizenship, credit record, qualifications verification, and employment verifications).

Where applicable candidates will be subjected to a skills/ knowledge test.

Interested individuals must fully complete the Polokwane Municipality employment application form for employment obtainable from municipal Offices and the website and attach a detailed CV, a certified copy of ID, and certified copies of qualifications and academic records.

Applicants must clearly quote the relevant reference number on the application form.

Applications not made on the municipal application form will not be considered.

The applications should be hand delivered to 9th floor office no 902 or ground floor at the Civic Centre Cnr Landros Mare Street & Bodenstein Street, Polokwane 0699.
