About MQA
Every year the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) offers individuals from different communities various MQA. learnership opportunities. These learnerships form part of the government’s National Skills Development Strategy to create skills and ease poverty and unemployment.
MQA Learnerships are open to those with the necessary qualification required to study towards qualifications such as Diesel Mechanics, Diamond Processing, Fitting and Turning, Jewellery Manufacturer, Electrical Maintenance, Boiler-making, Welding, and Engineering.
The learnerships consist of both theoretical and practical training in various fields, depending on which learnership you are doing.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR THIS LEARNERSHIP
- South African citizen
- Between 18 and 30 years old
- Completed Matric
- Passed Accounting or Mathematics in Matric
- Not currently employed
- Computer literate
- Good command of the English language (able to read, write and speak English)
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated
- A team player
- Willing to learn
- Clear criminal record
- Clear credit record
- Previous banking knowledge (advantageous but not essential)
- Previous experience in the retail sector (advantageous but not essential)
