Core Requirements:
- Solid understanding of IFRS and South African accounting rules
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Interest in cryptocurrency is a plus
- Ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of data into actionable information
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a financial accountant role
Skills and qualifications:
- Experience using Xero or other cloud-based accounting software
- Proficient in Excel and MS Word
- BCom or similar degree
Responsibilities:
- Process bank transactions and perform bank reconciliations
- Input payments on bank interface
- Handle accounts payable invoices and expense claims
- Manage accounts receivable invoices and the collection process
- Process distributions to members, member top-up payments, and wallet payout requests
- Reconcile Bitcoin accounts
- Manage intercompany balances and payments
- Reconcile accounts up to trial balance level, including Fixed Assets, Prepayments, and Accruals
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure expenses are accurate, such as solar engineering and marketing
- Complete other ad hoc requirements as needed
